Hugill & Ip Supports HELP for Domestic Workers

Hugill & Ip is proud to announce a meaningful partnership with HELP for Domestic Workers as part of our commitment to social responsibility and community empowerment.

On 9 February 2025, six dedicated team members from the firm will buddy up with five domestic workers to participate in the Standard Chartered Marathon. This initiative aims to raise vital funds and donations to support HELP’s mission in advocating for the rights and welfare of domestic workers in Hong Kong.

As part of the fundraising effort, Hugill & Ip will match all donations, doubling the impact of our supporters’ generosity. Additionally, between 1 January and 9 February, Hugill & Ip will donate the amount generated from Estate Planning work directly to HELP, further amplifying the contribution to this important cause.

This initiative is a key aspect of the Bridges to Empowerment programme, which is dedicated to empowering minorities and underrepresented communities. We believe in fostering a more inclusive and just society, and through the collaboration with HELP, we aim to make a significant difference in the lives of domestic workers in Hong Kong.

Join us in this important mission and help us bridge the gap for those who need it most!

More about HELP for Domestic Workers:

Established in 1989, HELP for Domestic Workers is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong. Through our core pillars of Preventing Crisis, Responding to Needs and Building Resilient Communities, they strive to address the unique needs of these individuals in a non-judgmental manner.

HELP understand that their beneficiaries require a holistic approach to their challenges. They offer case counselling, education on rights and responsibilities, emergency shelter, mental well-being support, and opportunities for community leadership. By providing this comprehensive support, they aim to empower migrant domestic workers and help them navigate the complex issues they may face.

In addition to empowering migrant domestic workers, HELP also serves as a valuable resource for employers seeking guidance on the rights and entitlements of domestic workers and resolving conflicts. By promoting dialogue and understanding, we strive to create an inclusive environment where both parties can learn from each other and work towards positive change. This collaborative approach aims to build harmonious and mutually beneficial working relationships between employers and domestic workers in Hong Kong.
